FULL SPECTRUM FURIOUS - THE TRUTH

FULLSPECTRUMFURIOUS.COM - THE FULL SPECTRUM FURIOUS PICTURE PAGE - This page is not the screenplay, this page is made to accompany the screen play, to help assist those reading the screen play by displaying pictures and facts that make up the screenplay.

SUPPORTING
Mark-A man with little convictions or self control.
Van Dyke- A man with little convictions or self control.
Sinclair- A man with little convictions or self control.
Balon- A man with little convictions or self control.
Ruddy- An impressionable young meathead who buys a
Dodge and crashes it
Dominic -An impressionable young meathead who buys a
Dodge and crashes it
Our film opens at a Dodge dealership, where a Dodge salesman who looks a bit like Vin Diesel and an unkept second salesman speak to Dominic and Ruddy. He tells the pair, “We have the strongest, meanest cars. These are the street racing cars of today. Right from the movies to our dealership. These are the ones Paul Walker and Vin Diesel are seen driving. They dominant on screen and on the streets.” Impressed, Dominic and Ruddy buy the cars, hoping to impress and be like the men they see on screen.

To celebrate, Dominic and Ruddy drive to the movies, where they hope to see a new street racing film. As they park their new Dodge cars right outside the theater, a few girls outside see them and send flirtatious glances. Dominic and Ruddy go to watch their movie. As they are sitting there, eating their popcorn and drinking their sodas, we transition to –

The real credits for our movie, “Full Spectrum Furious”.  Over the credits, we have flashes of street takeovers, with cars doing burns out and tire burning donuts, girls dancing, cars crashing, it all leads to – pitch black silence.

Over black, we hear the footsteps of four men, keys rattling, a gate being slammed open, a thick chain falling on asphalt, car doors popping open, then the roar of 3 Dodge engines starting up!

They are breaking into a Dodge dealership, where we see four characters in all black. They whisper to each other as they break inside.

They aren’t the smartest criminals.

As the screen cuts on, we find four men packed amongst three cars, where they call out their names: Balon, Sinclair, Van Dyke, and Mark . They then shout out the phrases they’ve heard on TV, in a mocking tone, they declare, “THAT BEAST INSIDE OF US" - "THE MONSTERS WE KEEP" AND "THE BIG BAD WOLF" "WE REALLY HAVE NO SELF CONTROL - WE BE DEMONS AND HELLCATS!"

The three men go racing with their new cars and like "bats out of hell" the 3  stolen Dodges blast out of the dealership parking lot, burning rubber, and pitching it sideways in a drift, the cars are being driven very recklessly! They bump into each other and run over trash cans, smashing pallets, bicycles

They aren’t test driving these cars, they are on a rampage!

They test the limits of the cars as they drive recklessly around the community. The cars prove too fast for them and our trio crashes. As they impact the pavement, in a wave of metal and fire we cut to --
TITLE CARD: FULL SPECTRUM FURIOUS
Dominic and Ruddy leave the theater complaining about the movie. They are certain that they could handle those cars, better than those guys did. They think the film was a poor representation of Dodge cars and Dodge drivers. As they head to their own Dodge cars, the girls from earlier, enticed by their cars invite them to a local street race.
The men look at each other and agree.
Dominic and Ruddy arrive at a gathering of street racers. The men and women there are racing down the straight-away of a street they have taken over. In another section, the gangsters are doing donuts and burnouts.
Dominic and Ruddy line up to race and to impress the girls and they both promise to go all out. The four girls signal the start of the race and the men take off in a drag race. They push the pedal to the metal and –
What follows next is chaos:
Ruddy, unable to hold control of his car  -- swerves into the crowd of 5 people and into 2 other Dodges! There is an explosion of humanity and debris as he strikes the crowd.
Dominic hits 127 mph and crashes his car! His car ignites into flames, with him trapped underneath it all! He is burned alive as the flames spread and we cut to black --
We then open on a calmer scene.
A backyard. The sun shining across a blue sky and a rainbow crossing the horizon.
The heart of our story, Michelle, is just a child here as she wears her grey converse shoes and plays with a rainbow stack toy in her front yard. She is 3 years old and has a full face with a big smile. She uses the rainbow toy to look up into the sun and we transition to --
Michelle now in 5th grade and asks the professor about prisms and spectrums. As their discussion ends, we transition to Michelle’s daily life. She is a star student in the classroom and a star karate student outside the classroom. Along with her parents, she learns very quickly how to defend herself and others. She can fight girls and boys, too.
Her charisma and joy are infectious, with an inner strength that carries her past all her problems.
Paul Walker is attending his R.O.W.W. charity event. He remarks to the people there that “We have the strongest, meanest cars. These are the street racing cars of today. Right from MY movies to our dealership. These are the ones Vin Diesel and I usually drive on screen.  These cars dominant on screen and on the streets.” He takes his Dodge out and says he’ll be right back. He goes off, with Roger Rodas. Then, like our characters from the opening, fail to control their cars. They hit a pole, a tree, and the car ultimately explodes.
We see the aftermath of the crash, from various different angles. The Police OFFICERS discuss the crash and the trajectory of the car. They determine he was speeding, though the posted speed limit is 45 MPH and then 15 MPH.  Then we see from the perspective of the parents, surrounding the scene. They remark that they are lucky none of their kids got hurt. There is a school, a gym, and a karate school nearby. Hundreds of people have poured out to remember Paul. They have left bears, cards, candles, photos, etc. This includes, muscleheads, now doing tricks and burnouts in the parking lot in “honor” of Paul, while others dangerously drift around corners.
These muscle heads are clearly blind to the of what just happened.
The event is capped off with Vin Diesel coming by to say some words about his friend and thanking the crowd for coming out. He then leaves in a fleet of SUVs.
The next day, Michelle and her father, Willy, go to the crash site. Michelle remarks how sad it is that he passed. Willy remarks that he hopes that people learned their lesson, when it comes to speeding on city streets.
Michelle goes to work the next day, in fact, it’s her first day on the job at Six Flags Magic Mountain. People on the rides scream and shout with excitement. She is joined by her friends, Brian, Tony, and Alfonso.
They are all working here.
Michelle and her friends are enamored with the place. Her supervisor runs her and her future coworkers through the job descriptions. Regarding the rides, he remarks that “We have the strongest, meanest coasters here. There are fast, smooth, wild – and safe.”
Two years later, Michelle eats with Brian and Tony and they remark about working here while also going to the same school, aka College of the Canyons. With Alfonso, joining them, they begin to wonder which place has the best rides: Six Flags MM or Disneyland. In order to really understand the rides at Disneyland, they all agree to go to Disneyland on Friday.
On a Friday, Brian, Michelle, Alfonso, and Tony all go to Disneyland and have a great time. They have great food and compare rides. They all agree to stay and watch the fireworks.
Meanwhile, Dealio Lockhart is in the parking lot of a local car shop. His license plate reads “BRUH313”. He cleans his windshield and shines his Dodge up real nice. He takes out a drone and sends it up and over the area. With the drone, he spots a street takeover in the distance. He puts the drone away and heads out it, its 11:30 pm.
Michelle calls her mother, Gigi, and says that they stayed to watch the fireworks and that they are on their way home now. It is 11:30pm.
Dealio gets on the 101 Hollywood Freeway at Beverly - South Bound, where he finds another Dodge driving along on the Freeway. He begins pacing side by side with the other Dodge driver. Both drivers acknowledge and admire each other, then – we see two other Dodges (a Green Challenger and an Orange Charger) racing down the freeway. The Green and Orange Dodges blow by Dealio and the other Dodge at over 100 MPH.
Dealio and the other driver are a bit astonished and blown away by the street race in progress. Then after signaling one another, with a hand gesture of "let’s join them", they take off.  Quickly, they go from pacing each other, to jockeying for first position. In seconds, they are racing at over 120 mph, on the I-5 South.
Meanwhile, Michelle and her friends are still driving along North on the I-5 Multiple racing cars blow past Tony and company; they remark how fast and dangerous they are. On the other side of the freeway, UPS driver, Scott Treadway headed South on the I-5, grows nervous as cars blow past him too. We grow out the tension as –
Dealio and his opponent race past a number of billboards “Furious 1,2,3,4,5,6,7”. Then-
Dealio’s car clips the side of Scott's UPS tractor –
The UPS truck swerves wildly, smashes through the median, and –
Smashes down very hard onto Tony’s car on the North side –
It’s quick and ends with a massive explosion!  Just fire everywhere and then only the sound of the flames.
Another driver on the road, Javier, crashes his SUV into the side of the upside down UPS truck. As he hits the truck, we drift out Javier is in a vision in an instant, we get a vision of the whole freeway. He spots, bodies, cars, and flames. Then Javier wakes back up, in his car, and begins to struggle to get out. Dealio’s ruined car has stopped, while his opponent continues on. Dealio hops on his phone and – begins deleting racing related items off of instagram and facebook – covering his tracks.
With his car trapped by the increasing inferno birthed from the crash, Javier has only minutes to escape his SUV, but he is stuck. Luckily, Javier is rescued by off duty LAPD Officer Ortiz and Javier is pulled to safety as his car is engulfed in flames. Tires and air tanks are exploding in the distance and onlookers shout, “You gotta get out! It’s going to blow!”
As Officer Ortiz is done rescuing Javier, he spots Thomas Won on fire. Thomas rushes around the K-Rail and the back of the truck, where he is eventually tended to as people throw water on him.
A First Responder finds Tony trapped in his Nissan, who is mumbling gibberish, yet asking about his head.

The First Responder holds Thomas's head together and tells him that it is alright.
Fire engines show up and put the flames out. The worst is over – for now.

First responders are showing up by the dozens, police, fire department, caltrans.........
The police do a sobriety check on Dealio. He is clear, but in deep trouble. He killed 3 people. The officers tell him before the night is over, it might be more. He is put in jail with a 6.2 million dollar bond.
We are at USC Hospital, where Alfonso is taken to the hospital. His face is bloody and puffy. The doctors immediately begin working on him, as he is unresponsive and in coma. We jump from his room to, Thomas Won’s room in the USC Burn Ward where he is being worked on for burns and injuries.
We jump from those rooms to St. Francis Hospital, where Tony is being worked on. He is put into a medically induced coma to ease swelling of the brain.
Back on the freeway, Javier refuses to leave, until he is told to by the paramedics. He says not until all the injured have gone. They remark that he’s the only one left.
Everyone else is gone.
Javier spots Michelle’s body for a second time and remembers he saw her in his vision. We spot her too and recognize her grey converse shoes sticking out the white sheet covering her body. Javier decides to go. As he leaves, Michelle and Brian’s bodies are left behind for the night for investigation purposes.
That morning at Michelle’s apartment, Michelle's father Willy wakes up concerned. None of his texts to Michelle were replied too, nor were they received, since last night. Gigi calls around too, but to no avail. She calling Magic Mountain, she learns of last night’s crash. She calls Willy and tells him the news.
Willy drives around and South down the I-5, but it’s closed and he is re-routed. He doesn’t make the connection yet, that it’s for his daughter. He finds a CHP officer who tells him what happened. He is devastated. He goes to the crash site, and then to the morgue with his sister and is only shown Michelle’s driver’s license to identify her.
We then jump into various shots of the news traveling around the world.
On social media, we see a number of responses:
“If Dealio killed my kid, I’d want him dead.”
“He killed the Sheriff’s son, he’s going to die in jail.”
“We should be preaching forgiveness, he obviously didn’t mean it.”
At Michelle’s college, there is a Vigil where they all mourn the loss.
This transitions to 2 1/2 years later, where --
The college is holding a Paul Walker Memorial event. A fast and furious event.
The College is blind to the irony of what they are doing.
At the event, a Car Salesman tells a group of men, “We have the strongest, meanest cars. These are the street racing cars of today. Right from the movies to our dealership. These are the ones Paul Walker and Vin Diesel are seen driving. They dominant on screen and on the streets.”
Willy, who is protesting the event, recounts a phone call he has with Eric Harnish, who works at the school. Though Eric understands Willy’s anger at the college for hosting the event, he says that he can’t stop them from hosting it. Willy is pissed at them for holding such an event, despite the college losing three of their students to street racing.
Dealio is led into the courthouse for bail hearing – already in jail.
After Willy gives his speech at the Police Station, we find the officers preparing to go out after the second driver. In a hallway of the Police Station, two officers, who are upset that Brian died (seeing as he is the Sheriff’s son) promise each other to take down the street racers.
We end by going back to where we started, with Michelle in 5th grade, getting up to read a poem she wrote, entitled “Tomorrow”:
This is my letter to my future self essay entitled, “Tomorrow”. Dear Friend, I am writing to you at 34 years old. I know we haven’t talked for a while, so I wanted to tell you all of my experiences so far. I am married and I have three kids, two girls, and one boy.

As Michelle reads, the camera pans the classroom.

I am currently a writer in an article in the newspaper. I am also planning to apply for the newscast-woman role. I have written 2 books that have been published. They are New York Times best sellers. I have traveled through almost all of Europe. I currently own a 3 story house in Stevenson Ranch.  Business is wonderful, the economy is great.
I have also successfully made an online magazine. It’s very popular and is read from all ages. I graduated from USC with honors with a full-year scholarship.
I am glad I went to USC because an education is very important and vital for a successful job. Just because a college and a university degree isn’t needed for some jobs doesn’t mean you shouldn’t get your degree. I learn something new every day, from my children, my husband, and my friends.  Even if you graduated college or even a university doesn’t mean your learning ability stops right after you graduate.

No, every second of this journey of life, you are learning, and you never stop.

My family also keeps fit. We go to the gym at least 3 times a week. Plus, we like to drive around and spend time with each other. I also haven’t forgotten the friends I made in my school years. I still keep in touch with many of them. They have left a permanent mark of friendship in my life. Anyways, I’m glad I could find the time to write you a letter.

The camera comes into focus, right as Michelle finishes reading.

Hope you get it and reply because I can’t wait to see how your life is going too. Your friend, Michelle Littlefield

FYI  https://patch.com/california/banning-beaumont/two-men-face-re-trial-murder-rivco-street-racing-crash
This is a small part of a video used for public comment and education. It is fair use under the copyright act. The issue of vehicular manslaughter is an issue of public concern. Dealio Lockhart has been charged with reckless driving which killed three people and seriously injured two others in a February 27, 2016 crash in Los Angeles, California on the 5 fwy. This video is in the public evidence file in the criminal investigation. This video is so prophetic. This is the car and driver that killed these people and left two in a coma. This video and the other video posted here were taken a month before the accident. He'd just gotten his car back from the shop after an accident. Dealio had a history of speeding and driving recklessly. He'd been previously cited. The "Fast and the Furious" car culture is totally out of control. I'm glad Paul Walker's family and friend lost their ridiculous lawsuit against Porsche. The car did not kill them. The driver did. More info from the public criminal investigation

Investigators Seek Public’s Help in Identifying Second Suspect Responsible for City of Commerce Triple-Fatal Traffic Collision; $36,000 Reward Offered
Saturday, February 27, 2016, was a day in which the dynamics of numerous families were changed forever.  As their loved ones travelled for pleasure and work on Interstate Highway 5, they were unaware of two vehicles negligently competing on the same stretch of highway in an illegal street race.
As the two competing drivers raced southbound on Interstate Highway 5 at a high rate of speed, Suspect Vehicle #1 attempted to pass a slower moving vehicle ahead of him and lost control.  Suspect Vehicle #1 struck a United Parcel Service commercial tractor hauling a package-laden, 52’ trailer driven by Victim Richard Scott Treadway.  Victim Treadway lost control of the vehicle, crossed all southbound lanes of traffic and was forced into the northbound lanes of Interstate Highway 5.
The delivery truck bursting into traverse traffic caused a chain reaction collision on the northbound side involving several additional vehicles.  The delivery truck impacted several northbound vehicles, one of which was a 2014 Nissan Sentra carrying amusement park coworkers and friends, Victim Michelle Littlefield and Victim Brian Lewandowski.
The delivery truck overturned and rested across several northbound and southbound lanes.  It caught fire and burned with Victim Richard Scott Treadway still inside.
Victims Richard Scott Treadway, Michelle Littlefield and Brian Lewandowski were all pronounced dead at the scene.
Victims Anthony Miramontes, Alfonso Murillo, Thomas Won, and Nicole Ruiz suffered injuries ranging from moderate to major.

The Rescue - Medal of Valor - Officer Vincent Ortiz
On February 27, 2016, LAPD Van Nuys Division Officer Vincent Ortiz was off-duty and traveling on the 5 Freeway when he witnessed a fiery crash involving street racing. One vehicle had hit a UPS truck, causing the driver to lose control, strike the center median, become airborne, and land on the opposite side of the freeway, hitting a sedan and catching fire. After the UPS truck came to rest, Javier Gonzalez, Jr.’s SUV immediately hit it.
Gonzalez’s vehicle quickly became engulfed in flames. Although he was initially pinned down in the front of his car, he was able to work his way to the SUV’s cargo area. He yelled for help and continuously tried to kick out the rear windows. As he struggled to free himself, Gonzalez felt the vehicle heat up and his arms start to burn. He saw people standing 50 feet away, but no one was willing to approach the burning wreck.
Officer Ortiz had already gotten out of his car and was checking on people at the scene. He heard Gonzalez’s cries for help, made eye contact with him, and ran toward his vehicle – despite the flames and intense heat. Ortiz located the release latch for the back of the vehicle, opened it, grabbed Gonzalez by the arms, pulled him 30 feet away, and sat him on the center median.
Someone yelled that they had to get further back because the UPS truck was going to blow up. Ortiz grabbed Gonzalez by his arms a second time and pulled him another 30 feet away from the wreck, just as the cab of the UPS truck exploded again, sending debris into the air. Ortiz stayed with Gonzalez until paramedics arrived.

  • D.A. STATEMENT MICHAEL BLAKE

MR DEALIO should not get a deal. Dealio should be made an example out of and be made the Poster Boy of Fast and Furious Street Racers. I believe that most of the victims in this case will ask the judge to reject any deals under 30-40 years - the math is simple 3 lives, one in coma and 3-4 other serious injuries. those lives should get Dealio at least 10 years each and the other injuries are worth at least another 10 -20 years.

I hope that the District Attorney will lay out their case for the victims, the victims families and the public. http://commercecrash2-27-2016.blogspot.com/2016/10/victims-commerce-crash-2-27-2016.html

I hope the DA Michael Blake does a good job, their best job in such a high profile case such as this.

  • GIVE AN ACCOUNTING OF THE VICTIMS
  • Victims Richard Scott Treadway, Michelle Littlefield and Brian were all pronounced dead at the scene.
Alfonso BROKEN NECK AND ALMOST DIED.
Anthony BROKEN NECK, ALMOST DIED NOW IN COMA OVER 3 YEARS ON A FEEDING TUBE AND BREATHING DEVICE.
Thomas WON severe 3rd degree burns painful healing. Very painful.
Javier C. Gonzalez knocked out, head and back injuries, felt the flames  almost died trapped  and awake in his vehicle.

A Fatal Finish is the Fate of the Fast and Furious - Death - Injuries - Coma - Pain - Prison  -
Michelle and her 3 friends were on their way home from Disneyland they headed home at about 11:30 .
There were 4  people in that Nissan, Driver Tony, Michelle front passenger,
Alfonso behind Tony, Brian Behind Michelle.
The Nissan was pancaked by the UPS tractor trailer. the top of the Nissan was sheared off, my Daughter was pulled out of the Nissan when the top of the car was sheared off, she was wearing hear seat belt, but it was frayed and torn, and she ejected out the back of the Nissan by extreme forces in all directions, her body was scooped out of the car and slammed,  thrown to the pavement, her body laid on the I-5 over night for about 10 hours. she died in a pool of blood, only covered by a white sheet partially covering her body, her foot and shoe was sticking out.

  • SENTENCING OF DEALIO Dealio Lockhart entered a guilty plea this afternoon in case BA444552 before Judge Jose Sandoval in Department 50,” Deputy District Attorney Michael Blake said.
“Lockhart admitted all crimes charged in an eighteen-count amended complaint for a negotiated term of 22 years, 4 months,” he said.Lockhart is scheduled to sentenced on April 12.The amended complaint against Lockhart alleged the following crimes:Three counts vehicular manslaughter.Four counts of engaging in a motor vehicle speed contest on a highway causing a specified injury.10 counts of assault by means of force likely to produce great bodily injury.Reflecting on the complexity of the case that stretched over three years, Blake said: “There was nothing easy about any of this, but the result was fair.Blake commended investigating officers with a specially-trained accident reconstruction unit of the California Highway Patrol, called the Multidisciplinary Accident Investigation Team.“The CHP-MAIT Team and Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department should be commended for their outstanding investigations in this case,” Blake said. The MAIT program was set up in 1978, when the severity and intricacy of traffic collisions dictated the need for more intensive investigations to determine subtle collision and injury causes.  The objective of the MAIT program is to provide the CHP with the means to conduct in-depth investigations and analyses of major traffic collisions throughout the state. The team’s Investigations include the reconstruction of an incident and a study of the factors that may have contributed to the incident.  Lockhart raced his Dodge Challenger with another driver on Interstate 5 on Feb. 27, 2016, in Commerce, causing a chain-reaction collision that killed the two Valencia residents and Scott Treadway, 52, a UPS truck driver from Mira Loma. Littlefield and Lewandowski were passengers in a Nissan with two other young people who were critically injured. All four occupants of the Nissan were employees of Six Flags Magic Mountain returning from a trip to Disneyland.
Apology statement of Dealio
DEALIO LOCKHART SAYS SORRY ON 4 12 2019
MR. LOCKHART - THANK YOU, YOUR HONOR, FOR ALLOWING ME TO SPEAK TO THE VICTIMS AND THE FAMILIES OF THE VICTIMS. WHAT I DID ON THAT NIGHT ON FEBRUARY 27TH, 2016 HAS PROFOUNDLY CHANGED ALL OF YOU GUYS LIVES. I FOUND OUT THAT THREE PEOPLE HAD LOST THEIR LIVES AND FOUR OTHERS WERE SEVERELY INJURED BY MY RECKLESS ACTIONS. MY HEART SANK AND DEVASTATED ME. AND EVERY SINCE THAT NIGHT I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS DAY SO I CAN TELL YOU WHAT'S REALLY BEEN ON MY HEART SINCE THAT DAY. TO THE FAMILY OF BRIAN LEWANDOWSKI, TO MICHELLE LITTLEFIELD AND TO THE FAMILY OF RICHARD TREADWAY IT REALLY PAINS ME TO KNOW THAT MY ACTIONS HAVE TAKEN AWAY SOMEONE'S SON, SOMEONE'S DAUGHTER, SOMEONE'S WIFE OR SOMEONE'S HUSBAND. I REALIZE THAT THESE PEOPLE HAD A LIFE FULL OF DREAMS AND ASPIRATIONS AND GOALS AND BIG PLANS FOR THE FUTURE AND BY MY RECKLESS ACTIONS OF WHAT I DID THAT NIGHT I TOOK AWAY ALL OF THOSE DREAMS AND ASPIRATIONS AND THOSE GOALS AND THEIR LIVES. AND FOR THAT IT'S UNIMAGINABLE JUST HOW MUCH -- HOW MUCH PAIN AND SUFFERING THAT I'VE CAUSED FOR THE FAMILIES, EVERYONE'S FAMILY. THE ONLY REASON THAT I CAN GIVE FOR MY ACTIONS THAT NIGHT IS A PURELY SELFISH ONE AND THAT'S BECAUSE I WANTED TO WIN, AND WITH THAT SELFISH MINDSET I HAVE CREATED A TRAGEDY THAT'S GOING TO FOREVER BE ON THE FOREFRONT OF MY MIND EVERY SINGLE NIGHT UNTIL THE DAY THAT I DIE. TO THE FAMILY OF BRIAN LEWANDOWSKI, I'M VERY SORRY FOR TAKING AWAY YOUR LOVED ONE. TO THE FAMILY OF MICHELLE LITTLEFIELD, I'M DEEPLY, DEEPLY SORRY FOR TAKING THE LIFE OF YOUR LOVED ONE. AND TO THE FAMILY OF RICHARD TREADWAY, I'M SO SORRY FOR TAKING AWAY THE LIFE OF YOUR LOVED ONE. TO ALFONSO MURILLO, THE THIRD, THOMAS WON, TO MIGUEL RUIZ AND ANTHONY MIRAMONTES I FEEL DEEP REGRET FOR MY ACTIONS AND I'M DISGUSTED WITH MYSELF KNOWING THAT MY ACTIONS HAVE CREATED DEBILITATING AND LIFE ALTERING INJURIES TO YOU. I REALIZE THAT YOU ALL HAD DREAMS, ASPIRATIONS, GOALS AND CAREERS AND I ASK THAT YOU JUST PLEASE FORGIVE ME FOR TAKING AWAY THOSE DREAMS AND THOSE ASPIRATION AND THOSE GOALS THAT YOU HAD FOR THE FUTURE. I AM VERY SORRY FOR THAT AND IT'S ALL BECAUSE OF MY RECKLESS ACTIONS ON THAT NIGHT. I FULLY ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY AND ALL THE CONSEQUENCES THAT COME FROM MY ACTIONS ON THAT NIGHT. WHAT I THINK ABOUT MOST ABOUT THIS EVENT IS THE EMOTIONAL LOSS -- THE EMOTIONAL LOSS THAT YOU ALL ARE FEELING AND I THINK ABOUT THE EMOTIONAL PAIN THAT YOU GUYS HAVE BEEN FEELING FOR THE PAST THREE YEARS AND IT REALLY HURTS ME TO KNOW THAT I'VE CAUSED YOU THAT SUFFERING AND THAT PAIN. I THINK ABOUT ALL OF THE HOLIDAYS AND CHRISTMASES, THANKSGIVINGS AND ALL OF THE BIRTHDAYS AND YOUR LOVED ONE ISN'T THERE. AND IT REALLY HURTS ME TO KNOW THAT YOU GUYS ARE GOING THROUGH THAT KNOWING THAT THEY'RE NOT THERE TO BE ABLE TO BE WITH YOU AND TO BE ABLE TO CELEBRATE. I JUST WANT TO THANK ALL OF THE VICTIMS THAT CAME AND SPOKE. IT WAS REALLY HARD LISTENING TO THAT, BUT I THANK YOU FOR YOUR HONESTY AND I THANK YOU FOR YOUR CANDOR TOO IN SAYING WHAT NEEDED TO BE SAID. ALL OF THESE THINGS THEY STAY WITH ME. I MEAN, I THINK ABOUT ALL OF THE HARDSHIPS THAT THE FAMILIES HAVE BEEN GOING THROUGH WITH HOSPITAL COSTS, PHYSICAL TREATMENTS, PHYSICAL SESSION TREATMENTS AND ALL THOSE THINGS, AND I THINK ABOUT THOSE AND IT REALLY HURTS AND IT REALLY PAINS ME TO KNOW THAT THAT LEVEL OF -- JUST THAT LEVEL OF INTENSITY HAD TO HAPPEN TO YOU GUYS AND THAT I WAS THE REASON FOR YOU GUYS GOING THROUGH THAT. I'M VERY SORRY FOR THAT, I'M VERY, VERY SORRY THAT I PUT YOU THROUGH THAT, PUT YOU THROUGH THAT FOR THOSE THREE YEARS. I WOULD LIKE THE COURT TO KNOW THAT I HAD A LOT OF TIME TO THINK ABOUT MY ACTIONS THAT NIGHT AND WHAT I'VE DONE. I REALIZE THAT IN A BLINK OF AN EYE AND JUST THROUGH MY IRRESPONSIBLE ACTIONS I CHANGED LIVES. I HAVE CHANGED A WHOLE LOT OF LIVES AND I REALIZE THAT AND I REALLY NEEDED TO CHANGE MY BEHAVIOR. SO WHILE I WAS INCARCERATED I WAS ABLE TO BE ABLE TO BETTER MYSELF BY TAKING CLASSES THAT DEALS WITH -- WITH DEALING WITH TAKING RESPONSIBILITY AND TAKING ACCOUNTABILITY FOR MY ACTIONS. AND WHILE I WAS THERE I WAS ABLE TO HELP OTHERS JUST NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKES THAT I HAVE THAT HAVE THE SAME RECKLESS MISTAKES THAT I'VE DONE TO PREVENT ANOTHER TRAGEDY LIKE THIS. 32 I KNOW THAT -- I KNOW THAT ASKING FOR FORGIVENESS AND APOLOGIES ESPECIALLY IN A SITUATION LIKE THIS OF THIS MAGNITUDE IS TOUCH AND GO. I UNDERSTAND TO THE FAMILIES IF YOU CANNOT FORGIVE ME OR YOU WILL NOT FORGIVE ME, BUT PLEASE KNOW THAT I'M DEEPLY SORRY FOR MY RECKLESS ACTIONS THAT NIGHT AND I'M DEEPLY SORRY FOR TAKING AWAY YOUR LOVED ONE. I'M DEEPLY SORRY FOR CAUSING PHYSICAL INJURIES TO PEOPLE -- TO THE MANY PEOPLE THAT I DON'T EVEN KNOW. AND THAT NIGHT REALLY PUT IN PERSPECTIVE THE MAGNITUDE OF MY ACTIONS AND JUST THE FOOLISHNESS OF STREET RACING AND THE CONSEQUENCES. I NEVER THOUGHT SOMETHING LIKE THIS WOULD HAPPEN TO ME, AND I NEVER THOUGHT THAT I WOULD BE THE SOURCE OF YOUR NIGHTMARE, OF YOUR NIGHTMARE, OR OF YOUR NIGHTMARE AND I'M SORRY FOR THAT. AND AGAIN, I AM VERY SORRY AND I DEEPLY APOLOGIZE FOR WHAT I'VE DONE FOR CHANGING YOUR LIVES SO ABRUPTLY AND FOR CAUSING SO MUCH PAIN AND SUFFERING YEAR AFTER YEAR AFTER YEAR. AND TO MY OWN FAMILY, TO MY MOM, I PRAY THAT YOU CAN FORGIVE ME FOR MY ACTIONS. I NEVER MEANT TO PUT SO MUCH STRESS, ADDED STRESS, ON AN ALREADY LOADED PLATE THAT YOU HAVE. I ASK THAT YOU JUST PLEASE FORGIVE ME FOR PUTTING THAT STRESS AND PUTTING THAT ANXIETY AND PUTTING ALL OF THAT JUST ADDED PRESSURE ON YOU. TO MY FIANCE SYLVIA, I PRAY THAT YOU FORGIVE ME, ALSO. I NEVER MEANT TO -- I NEVER MEANT TO JEOPARDIZE OUR RELATIONSHIP TOGETHER, PUT OUR RELATIONSHIP ON HOLD BY MY FOOLISH ACTIONS. AND SO TO ALL OF THE FAMILIES AND TO ALL THE INDIVIDUALS INVOLVED, I JUST PRAY EVERY DAY, EVERY SINGLE DAY I PRAY THAT GOD CONTINUES TO HEAL YOU PHYSICALLY, THAT GOD CONTINUES TO HEAL YOU MENTALLY, AND THAT HE WILL RETURN THIS TRAGEDY INTO SOMETHING GOOD. THANK YOU, YOUR HONOR, FOR ALLOWING ME TO SPEAK.

The Problem of Street Racing
The guide begins by describing the problem of street racing and reviewing factors that contribute to it. The guide then identifies a series of questions that might assist you in analyzing your local street racing problem. Finally, the guide reviews responses to the problem and what is known about these from evaluative research and police practice.
While street racing and cruising share some common characteristics, there are important differences between the two activities and those who participate in them. Cruising typically involves an older crowd, and is a highly public and largely nostalgic event that is often confined to downtown areas. Cruising can also provide an economic boost to the community.†† Street racing typically involves a younger crowd that conducts its activities in an underground fashion to avoid police attention and presents significant risks of serious personal injury.
The Commerce Crash and Street Racing: A story
Two years ago today, I lost one of my childhood friends to street racing. If you're local to LA, you
might even have heard the story: “Teens killed in crash, Street Racing to Blame.”
But it's more than that, as you will soon see.
If you research the story, it's actually pretty simple. Four teens coming back from Disneyland, one
stallwart UPS driver, and two devious street racers, one of whom lost control of his car, hit the UPS
Truck. the Tractor Trailer flipped, and sheered off the top of the teen's car, killing two of them instantly.
But when you look at the clips from the accident, suddenly it doesn't seem so logical. The clip, a
short six minute video, is filmed shakily on a mobile phone. And even with the less than stellar
quality,  you can see the fire. You can hear the shout. Someone yells, “It's going to blow, you've got
to get back!” And it does. And as it does, it's all I can do to not picture the my friend, somewhere,
burning in the flames.
Street racer likes to pretend that it is a crime without causualities, but this is far from true. Not only do
the watchers get hurt frequently, but the people who have nothing at all to do with the race are
being constantly put in danger. Not only, in the official races, which are bad enough, but also by the
sheer mindset of the racers and those who admire them. This creates a situation exactly what
happened that tragic night. It wasn't a planned race, it just “happened.” But it's funny how something
that wound up crossing over 11 miles, could just happen. Why didn't the drivers just stop at any time?
Why choose some place that was so full of innocent people?
Because, watch any advertizement, play any video game, watch any film about cars, and you'll very
clearly what they're trying to tell you. It's glamourous. It's honorable. It's brave. These are the
messages Dodge tells, when they showcase their new, Fast and Furious approved cars.
After all, they are “domestic, not domesticiated” but since when did this sense of freedom,
become okay to harm others? When did the pursuit of money become more worthy than human lives.
Dodge proudly states, that their Demon car is not only Vin Diesel approved, a problem in of itself,
but that the NHRA, the organization that is totally chill with it's cars going 300 mphs, banned the car
from its track, without the addition of a role cage. But despite this, Dodge still proclaims that this car is
great for racing, and racing fast. But if not on the approved track, then where? The implication is
less than subtle.
But let me get one thing straight. I don't care what you do, as long as it hurts no one but yourself.
But when you bring innocent people into the matter, and brainwash people into thinking such insane
speeds are legal, even good, on the streets, then, we have a problem. You want proof? The car that hit
my friend, was going 127.5 miles an hour, on the 5 freeway, at 11:57 Midnight. This will never
ever be acceptable. And it has to stop.
The cost of lives, and the increasing speed racing, that has, according to cops, increased greatly with
the rise of Fast and Furious, and the fall of legal tracks, is too much.
So, what do we do? According to many reports on street racing, there is nothing. It has been around
forever, and it will always be around forever.
But I disagree. This type of street racing, the kind glamorized in Fast and Furious, by Dodge,
Vin Diesel, and numerous video games, such as Need for Speed, and Grand Theft Auto, has to stop.
The kind that takes lives of innocent people, that makes other cars on the road cool obstactles to go
around, and makes cops a new part of the challenge, a “cat and mouse game,” has to stop.
Let me be clear. I am not against racing, if your own life is all that's on the line. But if you're going
to play a game, you need to make sure that all the players, are willing participants.
To do this, at the least, we need these companies to stop putting money over lives, we need to open
legal tracks which, historically, has created a severe dip in the kind of street racing that killed my
friend, we need to offer better training for those who will be driving cars that otherwise, they simply
don't know how to control. We can't stop them from driving, but we can stop them from driving
unsafely. If you are going to drive a high performance car, or use a regular car for high performance
things, you need a high performance license, so that if you're going to be an idiot, at least, you can
have lower odds of killing people, because this supposed sport without a cost, has cost more than one
life too many.

Additional training is also nessicary seeing as how the majority of these racese take place at night,
with a severe loss of visability.
It's not possible to stop it, but it is possible to make it safer for bystanders.
Nearly all of the news reports on street racing made some mention of the Fast and Furious.

Turn the cameras off, and shoo the spectators away, and maybe it would be quiet enough for them to
hear their own conscience. Because the more cameras there are, and the lighter consequences, the
more glamour it will bring.

Response to writing the Inditement
Hi Willy,
Here are some of the reasons I struggled to write the inditement.
Firstly, I am not a lawyer. The strict format is something I am not familiar with. If I were to write it,
it is the kind of thing I would want to spend months studying beforehand, and even if I did, I think,
in general, I'd rather write for the defense. Having watched prosecution in motion, it is something I
never care to do. It is too much hatred and negativity and anger. Even while, in this case, I know that
Dealio (and all the cultural points that got in his head to begin with) is in the wrong, trying to write
such a damning statement . . . I worry that it will hurt someone. Which is probably a very weird
reaction, but it is the truth. I worry that by letting all that rage fly, and especially channeling it into
something that – flattering myself – could have influence, it could hurt someone. I would want to
study all of the facts, down to the last piece, before I would write something like that. And even then,
I'm not sure.
I also don't feel like focusing on Dealio (and the factors that got him to where he is now) is the right
thing. I think, as you said in your earlier interviews, that he's someone who collossally f-ed up in a
way that killed people, but I don't think our story lies there. To me, I think our story is about a
girl – Michelle – who did everything in her power, every day, to make the world a better place, to be
kind to everyone, regardless, who happened to be at the wrong place, at the wrong time.
I think her sweetness, and correctness, juxataposed against this culture of live fast, die young, in the
world, and any consequences, is powerful enough in itself.
Being involved in saying anything in regards to Dealio Lockheart (or the factors that got him there)
– without knowing all of the facts, not knowing how intentional his actions were, if it was a one off
thing, whether it was entirely his fault that things happened the way they did, how he feels now –
all this, and much more is what I would want to know (as well as knowing how intentional
Vin's, Dodge's, and Fast and Furious's actions were/are). I know it may not seem especially
important, considering
his actions ended in manslaughter no matter how you look at it, (and the fact that these people are
promoting and encouraging these self same actions) but it matters to me. Writer problems, I guess.
That said, I'm always happy to act as a sounding board for YOUR thoughts, I just don't feel
comfortable with writing about mine in this context, since there are a lot of conflicting feelings.
And I know it's about Dodge, and Fast and Furious, and all, but for me, it always goes back to
“how was Dealio affected by these things” which makes me wonder again. It also makes me wonder
too, about the intent of Dodge, of Fast and Furious, and Vin Diesel, and I also can't speak to Fast and
Furious without having seen the movies. And so, again, it is lacking knowledge. And I feel like the
sort of rage I'd have to channel still wouldn't do a ding against these huge companies. It would just
make them enemies instead of showing them the errors of their ways and seeing if they weren't
willing to fix it. But quite possibly, I'm simply an optimist, I don't know.
And then again, in general, I feel like an inditement lacks balance, and without balance,
I don't think it would be fair. And despite it all, I always want things to be fair.
That's why I think I would fail at being a lawyer. It just seems too political to me, and
I feel like it's too negative. But fundamentally, I think it's steering away from the story, which is
about Michelle. And I get why you want/wanted me to do it, but I don't think there's easy answers,
and the kind of research I would want before writing something so fundamentally damning,
would take years of
research, and I'd still want a solution. I want to know how to stop this from ever happening again.
That's the kind of thing I want to write and what I want to take action on.
I want to focus on saving the next girl. For Michelle, for my own concious, because it's the right
thing to do.
But I'm not sure that putting such rage into the world, in whatever form, is the right way to go.
I think you can have something just as powerful by just showing what is. What happened. Who she
was and the culture that caused things. But you don't need to state it like that. You don't need to point
fingers. You just show EVERYTHING and then, the change, the ideas, the understanding, will follow.
We don't need the anger. We need the grief. The more we show how amazing Michelle was, the more
her death, and the cause of it, will strike the hearts of the audience, and sway them to our side, in a
way that anger can't touch.
Anyway.
I don't know if that makes much sense or anything, but you said raw, so, here we are.
Hopefully this is helpful, and I look forward to speaking to you soon, and cannot wait to continue
forward with the project.
I love everything else we've done so far, look forward to the things we are going to do, and I've
already learned so much from this project, not to mention I love it, and what we are planning to do.
Yours truly,
~ E. S.
